Happy 4th Birthday E!

And we started the day with some homemade french fries in the morning. They were so happy just eating nothing but potatoes and watching TV.

E knew that I was going to bake her birthday cake. She said to me the night before, "Mommy, can you please don't make cheesecake. I don't like it".

She wanted me to do the strawberry fruit tart I did for New Year's Day.

But I did cheesecake nevertheless. It's a baked cheesecake recipe that I wanted to try when Jac brought it to our gathering in December 2017. Eventually, she ate half of the entire cake within a day.

And they were excited to help me with the cake decoration.

Baked American Cheesecake with strawberries and hello panda biscuits

Lunch as per her request - Porridge with lots of chewy (according to her) scallops and meat

The next day, we celebrated in her new school as well.

Dear E, mommy loves you so much. This year, I only hope to spend quality time with you and to make up for all the lost times with you. I am sorry if I ever made you feel "unwanted" because you are often not by my side. Mommy will never desert you or choose G over you. Mommy hopes you will understand when you grow up that it was part of our transition to our new life.

G's 6 year old birthday

I realised that I forgot to post G's 6 year old birthday celebration. I will post what we do for the children for their birthdays. This is my commitment to keep maintaining this blog, so that when they are older, they can look back and read the memories.

It was a simple one with us at ah zor's place. I couldn't bake because we didn't have our own place. My grandma was housing us that time. She let us stay with her for a period of 8 months without charging me a single cent and even cooked dinner for us everyday. I am very grateful for her love and generosity.

And so, I bought some mini cupcakes and we just sang a birthday song together. E insisted to hold the cupcakes while we walked from City Square back home and along the way, she dropped the cupcakes. The cream topping were smashed and they were not pretty anymore.

But it didn't bother us at all. They are still happy. 3 of us went to the kitchen to get the candles lit and I switched off the kitchen lights. E laid hands on G during my prayer and Papa Han gave G the very big Sylvannian family toy the next day (he carried from Jurong East to us).

Happy 6th birthday Gracel.
It was very simple but full of love.
